ANKARA MIX

Happy sunday every one, hope church service was interesting? I enjoyed my church service my spirit  was lifted. This was what i wore to church today and the comments were awesome. I got this style inspiration from somewhere am talking about the skirt.
When i saw this skirt, i immediately  fell inlove with the creativity. African prints are beautiful really.I decided to have my own also although  it took me a while to gather  different  ankara print together it was fun tho because i had to look for different  colours and print that can blend and i also had to imagine how i wanted the end product to look like.
This mixed  print ankara is for the bold and confident people ... lol... if you aint bold enough  to defend your sense of style then dont bother going for it.If you are feeling the skirt then this information  on how i was able to get mine done is for you. First, i went to my designer (tailor) to seek her opinion  on the skirt showing her a picture from where i got the inspiration and she told  me all i need to do is get different ankara print putting  in mind not to go for any quality that fades quickly you know those kind of material... wink....She advised me to go for hi-target ankara print because  they last long for years according to her. I followed her advise, i went to the island market and got four different  print in two yards each because i wanted the skirt to come out very full but you can buy three print depending on what you want.
After i gathered  my prints, this skirt was the end product i told her i wanted the background colour to come out pinkish. This skirt is in three steps asides the band  for the waist. To get yours done, you have to know exactly what you want and how you want it to look like hence, imagination is necessary so you might need to choose your pint yourself so that what you imagined is what you will get. I went to church today rocking the skirt with an off the shoulder top and west nine court shoe. What do you guys think? There are many reasons why i love this skirt and the first is that i can wear the skirt with any type of top depending on the colour i want for that day and have also been able to create different looks for different occassions. This first look is not only for church you can also wear it to your place of work on fridays you just have to be bold enough to rock the skirt because its not something you see everywhere so you might get funny comments too..lol..
your carriage is what matters ..wink..

When i created this look, i imagined a very lively scenerio more like a beach scene. I call this look wild and free because all the pink colours i have on are of three different  shades but i was like 'what is wrong with rocking Three shades of pink'?. Here, i wore the skirt  with a fushia pink turtle neck top, plum pink chanel boy bag and light pink adiddas sneaker.Funny right? Lol

Using the pics where i got the skirt inspiration from, i rock my ankara mix with a denim shirt and a black flat shoe.I choose a black shoe because i wanted to look formal and at thesame time not too serious i hope you can relate that kind of mood? In other to look a little classy i used a chanel and a dior Brooch on the pocket side  of my denim shirt. My boy bag by chanel is a bag for days so its here too. You can rock the skirt like this when you are going for a get together  with friends  having it in mind that you will meet people you know and people you dont know. Hence, i think this tricky look is perfect because when i wore it, i felt like i was unpredictable.Having one for yourself wont cost much so dont think its expensive. Try something different  by having one for yourself ...muah.. have a nice week ahead.
